GOD ONLY KNOWS

As I admired the beautiful stars tonight, I could hear in my heart, a beautiful song of love of God.

Sometimes God's love leads us blind and we just don't know how we are ever going to reach wherever we are going to.
Just like Abraham God tells us to start walking to a beautiful destination.
But He didn't tell Abraham how he could reach his destination; He just told him that he would get there.

So Abraham took each step in faith, trusting blindly in God's promise.
With every faith step he came nearer and nearer to see the fulfillment of the promise. We need to do the same, but it's not that easy to walk in faith since we are used to walk by sight.

God comes to our rescue and makes a path beyond the highest hill of problems and frustrations. He teaches us to fly like the eagles on an invisible road.

He opens our spiritual eyes so we can see where He leads us to.
He speaks to us gently and comforts us in the desert of our desperation, so our soul will not be lost.
Then He leads us to a heaven on earth and a heaven in His arms.
He really does, we just need to rest, while He carries us on His wings.

I remember my father used to have lots of fireworks to celebrate New Year. It would make a lot of noise at midnight and the dogs would bark even louder.

Sometimes our life looks just like that.
While we are standing at the door of a new dawn, the noise of distress makes it hard for us to enter into God's rest.

Still Jesus managed to fall asleep in the boat in the middle of a storm.
Through faith we can enter God's rest.
We need to start thinking like the Lord Jesus.
He trusted His Father.

There is a road for us to follow.
Close your eyes and follow Him blindly.

Sometimes we do not understand the things that God is doing, but He knows exactly what He's doing so why worry about it.
Worrying gains us nothing. Let's just take one step at a time.
Soon our eyes will be opened and we will see that we were actually following a road. Surprise? No with God there are no surprises, He's got every worked out already.

It's hard to let go of my humanly minded sight, but I have to.
Close your eyes with me.

Let us carefully listen to the rhythm of God's heartbeat.
Take a step of faith at every heartbeat.
Before you know it we will have learned to sing His song of love.

Love in Christ,

Monique
